Always wanted to hang out at the Kent family house? Now’s your chance thanks to a cute behind the scenes video that rolled out as part of today’s DC FanDome event.
In the three plus minute clip, stars Bitsie Tulloch and Alex Garfin, who are featured on The CW’s Superman & Lois as Lois Lane and Jordan Kent respectively, bring viewers on a tour of… Well, not all of the Kent house, but at least most of the first floor. As it turns out, while the kitchen, living room, dining room and Lois’ office are all part of the same set, the upstairs (where the bedrooms are) and outside of the house, including porch, are on different stages.
While that bit of info is ruining any illusions you might have about the magic of television, there are some still notably fun pieces of info we learn while watching, most notably that both Tulloch and Tyler Hoechlin (who plays Clark Kent, aka Superman on the show) both have their own secret drawers on the kitchen set.
We don’t find out what’s in Hoechlin’s drawer (assuming it’s memorabilia from his time at Teen Wolf, nobody tell me otherwise), but we do get a sneak peek inside Tulloch’s drawer. Nothing too shocking appears: there’s hand sanitizer, a bag of candy, some sides (aka short pieces of the script), and a few other items. But at least there’s more in there than there is in the empty, non-working refrigerator Tulloch and Garfin take the time to point out.
You can watch the clip above, which also features Garfin tickling the ivories and a few sweet pictures of the Kent family littered around set. Superman & Lois Season 1 is currently available to stream on HBO Max, and will hit Blu-Ray and DVD on Tuesday, October 19. Meanwhile, Season 2 is currently in production, and expected to debut on The CW in midseason.
