Was Bill Maher’s ‘Real Time’ New On HBO Last Night?

Viewers of HBO‘s Real Time with Bill Maher, which is now on its 19th season, may have tuned in last night expecting to watch Episode 31. After yet another busy and eventful week in culture and politics, including Dave Chapelle‘s Netflix The Closer controversy and President Joe Biden‘s continued push to have his administration’s Build Back Better Agenda passed in congress, did Bill Maher get to offer his two cents?

Oh, also the FDA has given emergency use authorization to Moderna COVID-19 booster shots and Bill Clinton was admitted to the hospital for a non-COVID-related infection just to name a couple other things that went on this week.

Should viewers have expected Maher to weigh in on these topics and more last night?

Unfortunately, that did not occur. There was no new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday, October 15. Maher is currently taking a short break and is expected to return with a brand new episode on Friday, October 22.

Last week Killer Mike and Robert Costas appeared on the show to discuss police reform, upcoming elections and the Democrats’ lack of a plan for illegal immigration at the Southern U.S. border.

Thus far, there have been thirty new episodes of Real Time with Bill Maher in season 19. The popular HBO show will be back to its regularly scheduled antics next week.

Michael is a music and television junkie keen on most things that are not a complete and total bore. You can follow him on Twitter — @Tweetskoor
