Stream It Or Skip It: 'Night Teeth' on Netflix, a Sloppy Vampire Flick That's All Style, Not Enough Action

Night Teeth, the new vampire horror movie on Netflix, does what many vampire movies before it have done: Leave room for a Night Teeth sequel!
By the end of the film, protagonist Benny (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.) is now, spoiler alert, a full-fledged vampire. Luckily, he and his new vampire girlfriend Blaire (Debby Ryan) have defeated the evil vampires in town who were breaking the truce by killing humans in their region. But according to Benny’s brother, Jay (Raúl Castillo)—who is a vampire hunter, by the way, awkward—this story is not over.
“The whole world’s changed. Everyone is going to have to pick a side,” Jay tells Benny at the very end of the movie. “Don’t forget where you came from.”
Well, that sounds like a set-up for a sequel if I’ve ever heard one! But will there be a Night Teeth 2? Here’s what we know right now.
WILL THERE BE A NIGHT TEETH 2?
There are no official plans for a Night Teeth sequel at this time. But the movie certainly leaves room for more, and some of the cast are already on board.
“I hope there’s a sequel,” star Lendeborg said in a recent interview with Distractify. “What’s gonna happen in the second one, man, maybe just more closure? You know, I feel like it definitely is a coming-of-age story, as well as a horror thriller. So it’s like, what does Benny do now that he has more power, now that he has more foresight on what’s happening in the world? You know, what does he do with his turn on top?”
Whether or not Night Teeth 2 happens will likely come down to whether the film is a hit for Netflix. Unfortunately, so far the film has suffered from bad reviews from critics—the movie is currently at 28 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, the review aggregation website. And Netflix has been stingy about movie sequels in the past.
But critical success isn’t everything. What matters is how many people view the film on Netflix. So if you love Night Teeth and want to see Night Teeth 2, tell your friends to give the movie a stream. Anything is possible!
