Steinfall: Your November/December Hailee Steinfeld Streaming Guide

Are you ready for… Steinfall? Well, get ready, because multi-hyphenate talent Hailee Steinfeld has not one, not two, but three streaming series premiering in November.

What’s wildest about this is that Steinfeld’s three series are all on different streaming services, meaning her domination of the internet is almost complete. There’s Dickinson on Apple TV+, which is kicking off the final run of episodes for the critically acclaimed historical comedy. Then there’s Arcane, an animated series based on the insanely popular League of Legends video game franchise on Netflix. And last (but not least), Steinfeld is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with the highly anticipated Disney+ series, Hawkeye.

Like how Steinfeld is branching out into vastly different roles this month, fans have been describing her takeover many ways: Hailvember; Steinfall; and Steintober, which I suggested on Twitter but definitely didn’t catch on. So in order to settle this debate, I took it to the source herself, Hailee Steinfeld, and asked her what she preferred to call the month during a recent press day for Dickinson.

“Oh my god,” Steinfeld said, laughing. “I kind of like Steinfall. It has a nice ring to it. Love it.”

And that, as they say, is history. So from the aforementioned series, to significant Steinfeld streaming anniversaries, here’s how to turn the final months of the year into the perfect Steinfall celebration.

November 1: 'Dickinson' Second Anniversary

Has it really been two years since Dickinson premiered on Apple TV+, along with a slate of other originals? Yes, yes it has. Created by Alena Smith, the first season dropped every episode simultaneously (subsequent seasons have released weekly), and the world was never the same. More on this in a second, but suffice to say you should spend November 1 falling in love with Emily, all over again.

November 1: 'Ender's Game' Eighth Anniversary

Oh, I’m sorry, did you think we were going to let the historic eighth anniversary of Ender’s Game pass us by? During Steinfall?? Of course not. Adapted from the seminal science fiction novel by Orson Scott Card, Steinfeld starred as Petra Arkanian, a genius cadet who becomes close with the Ender of the title, played by Asa Butterfield. The movie debuted to mixed reviews, but it’s fun to take a look back in Steinstory.

November 5: 'Dickinson' Season 3 Premiere

Kick off Steinfall for real with three episodes of the critically acclaimed, fan beloved Dickinson, which is entering its third and final season on Apple TV+. By turns surreal, hilarious, and heartbreaking, the loose adaptation of the life of poet Emily Dickinson will be entering the Civil War in Season 3, and will explore the unheralded war poetry of Dickinson, as well as how the conflict impacts every one of the characters on the series. Also, do yourself a favor and go binge the first two seasons if you haven’t already, because you’re missing out on one of the most creatively fulfilling shows on TV.

November 6: 'Arcane' Act One

Just one day after the debut of Dickinson, you’re getting even more Hailee Steinfeld content thanks to Netflix’s Arcane, the first ever TV series set in the world of League of Legends. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Based on the game League of Legends,  the animated event series features a complex world filled with moral decisions, breathtaking animation and suspenseful storytelling. Tensions between two cities boil over as new inventions threaten revolution. In Piltover, Hextech democratizes magic, in Zaun, a drug transforms humans into monsters as Arcane brings some of League of Legends‘ famous champions to life.”

Steinfeld stars as the voice of Vi, the series’ hero… And that’s sort of all we know about the secretive series at the moment. Atypical for a Netflix series, the first three episodes will premiere Saturday, November 6 at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.

November 7: 'Back to You', "Gracie's Bully" Fourteenth Anniversary

One of Steinfeld’s first on-screen roles was as “Little Girl” in the mostly forgotten Kelsey Grammer sitcom Back to You, specifically the sixth episode, “Gracie’s Bully”. Is this essential Steinfeld viewing? Probably not. But also: you can purchase episodes for $1.99 on Apple TV, so why not include it? Why not, indeed?

November 12: 'Dickinson' Season 3, Episode 4

While we don’t know the content of the episode yet, only one half-hour will debut on Apple TV+ today, versus the three on premiere day. As you will see, this will continue throughout the run of the series until the series finale on December 24.

November 13: 'Arcane' Act Two

Arcane continues with Act Two, which covers episodes 1×04, 1×05 and 1×06. Unlike the first part, this will debut at the regular Netflix time of 3am ET /12am PT.

November 14: 'The Homesman' Seventh Anniversary

It’s a short little role, but Steinfeld is featured in a pivotal scene towards the end of the Tommy Lee Jones directed western, which is streaming free a few different places (as of this writing). The movie also stars Hilary Swank, Grace Gummer, Meryl Streep and a ton more, so is well worth your time.

In a super quick cameo, Hailee Steinfeld shows up along with a bevy of other stars as an Angel recruit, before jumping out of a plane.

November 18: 'The Edge of Seventeen' Fifth Anniversary

Steinfeld in particular was lauded for this film festival fave that co-starred Woody Harrelson, Kyra Sedgwick and Haley Lu Richardson. As you might expect from the title, it’s a coming of age dramedy, and Steinfeld was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role. Read more about it here.

November 19: 'Dickinson' Season 3, Episode 5

Another episode of Dickinson premieres today! That’s great news!

November 20: November 13: 'Arcane' Act Three

Arcane concludes with the final three episodes of Season 1, also debuting at regular Netflix hours. Will there be a Season 2? Fingers crossed, because Steinfall needs to be a yearly celebration.

November 24: 'Hawkeye' Series Premiere

It’s the most wonderful time of the year as Disney+ and Marvel roll out two episodes of their new series, just in time for Thanksgiving. Following Jeremy Renner’s ace archer from the Avengers movies, he meets up with Kate Bishop (Steinfeld) in New York, a Hawkeye fangirl who has taken on fighting and shooting arrows, just like her hero. Loosely based on the comics by Matt Fraction and David Aja, Hawkeye looks like a blast, and fans have been calling Steinfeld perfect for the beloved Kate Bishop pretty much since she was announced.

November 26: 'Dickinson' Season 3, Episode 6

Another new episode of Dickinson? You know it, dude!

December 1: 'Hawkeye' Episode 3

Hawkeye continues with only one episode today, but twice the archers. Or rather, the same amount of archers, assuming Kate was already introduced in one of the first two episodes. You know what? This was a confusing set-up. Wish there was some way of editing words out of an article OH WELL.

December 3: 'Dickinson' Season 3, Episode 7

Another episode of Dickinson debuts today, and that’s a reason to say “hooray!” Emily’s poems don’t usually rhyme, but I do most of the time.

December 8: 'Hawkeye' Episode 4

Hawkeye continues! That’s all I’ve got for the moment.

December 10: 'Dickinson' Season 3, Episode 8

It’s the eighth episode of Dickinson, which means there are only two left to go. Counting!

December 14: 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' Third Anniversary

The Oscar-winning movie, which starred Steinfeld as the voice of Gwen Stacy, broke animated ground and only gets better every time you watch it. True story!

December 15: 'Hawkeye' Episode 5

Only one more episode to go after this one. Will Clint Barton (Renner) win that pie eating contest? Will Kate get out of that elevator she’s been stuck in since episode one? Tune in to find out what happens with neither of these plotlines, since they’re almost definitely not happening in the show.

December 17: 'Dickinson' Season 3, Episode 9

The penultimate episode of Dickinson streams today.

December 20: 'The 1989 World Tour - Live' Sixth Anniversary

One of the first capital “E” Events of the streaming era, Taylor Swift’s The 1989 World Tour – Live was released on Apple Music, and included footage from her concert in Sydney, as well as backstage bits and interviews, including bits from Taylor’s “Bad Blood” crew reunion, which featured, of course, Ms. Steinfeld. You can’t currently legally stream this special anywhere, including — surprisingly — Apple TV; but I think you intrepid sleuths can figure out where it might be posted.

December 21: 'Bumblebee' Third Anniversary

Celebrate the third anniversary of what is arguably the best Transformers movie by rewatching Bumblebee today. Steinfeld stars as the human, not the car. FYI.

December 22: 'Hawkeye' Finale

Disney is billing Hawkeye as a six episode event, which seems to imply it might be a one-off series. But given this is the MCU, it’s possible there may be more. And we’ll almost definitely be seeing more of Steinfeld’s Kate throughout the movies and TV shows over the next few years, because that’s how Marvel rolls.

Watch the movie that gave Hailee Steinfeld that plum “Academy Award Nominated” title that runs before her name on every appearance. Directed by the Coen Brothers, Steinfeld stars as Mattie Ross, a girl whose father is murdered, so she hires a US Marshal (Jeff Bridges) to track down his killers.

December 24: 'Dickinson' Series Finale

Look, I’m just going to say it: streaming the final episode of Dickinson on Christmas Eve is both a beautiful gift and the Scrooge-iest thing that could happen. This series was, and is, brilliant, and I, for one, am not ready to say goodbye so soon. Regardless of how it ends (no spoilers here), thanks to incredible writing, iconic performances, and a beautiful, beating heart at the center of the show thanks to the history-defining relationship of Emily and Sue (Ella Hunt), Dickinson will be one for the ages. Oh, and merry Steinfall, one and all!
