You know you’re in for a good cry when Tom Hanks stars in a movie in which he has an emotional connection to an inanimate object. In Finch, which releasing on Apple TV+ this weekend, Hanks brings his Academy Award-winning charm to a relationship with a robot and a dog in the middle of a post-apocalyptic hellscape. Obviously, he nails it.
Hanks stars as a man named Finch, who was some sort of engineer/inventor before solar flares ushered in the end of days. Now his only goal is to keep himself and his dog alive, with the help of a robot he invents named Jeff (voiced by Caleb Landry Jones). But an incoming storm that interrupts the upload means Jeff’s not quite all there, paving the way for a quirky, parent-child relationship between man and machine.
Directed by Miguel Sapochnik and produced by Robert Zemeckis, Finch is your classic heartwarming Tom Hanks movie. It’s sure to hit the spot this weekend, so here’s everything you need to know about where to watch Finch.

Beginning Friday, November 5, you will be able to watch Finch streaming on Apple TV+.
