‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ Disney Plus Reboot: Cast, Premiere Date and More

Get ready to meet a whole new Cheaper by the Dozen family on Disney+. While the iconic 12-kid family comedy was first made into a movie in 1950, most audiences will remember the 2003 remake starring Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt as parents struggling to balance their hectic lives with the endearing chaos of raising their big family. The film’s success led to a sequel, Cheaper By the Dozen 2, in 2005.

Now, Disney+ is reimagining the story once again, with Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union as the central parents. Plus, it’s headed to the streamer sooner than you think. Here’s everything to know about Disney+’s new Cheaper By the Dozen film:

According to the official synopsis, the movie “centers on a blended family of 12, navigating a hectic home life and their family business.”

The new film will be directed by Gail Lerner. Black-ish creator and executive producer Kenya Barris and Grown-Ish executive producer Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry penned the script.

Cheaper by the Dozen Reboot Cast

Braff and Union will star as the family’s parents this time around. Other adult cast members include Parenthood star Erika Christensen and Black-Ish actress Brittany Daniel.

The actors portraying the kids include Journee Brown, Yellowstone actress Kylie Rogers, Andre Robinson, Caylee Blosenski, Aryan Simhadri, Leo A. Perry, Mixed-Ish star Mykal-Michelle Harris, Christian Cote, Sebastian Cote, and Luke Prael.
