Is ‘C’mon C’mon’ on HBO Max or Netflix? When Will the Joaquin Phoenix Movie Be Streaming?

Joaquin Phoenix is back with yet another indie darling. This time, the movie is A24’s C’mon C’mon, a black-and-white drama opening in theaters this weekend.

Written and directed by Mike Mills, who is known for his acclaimed films like Beginners and 20th Century, C’mon C’mon stars Phoenix as a radio DJ who unexpectedly gets tasked with taking care of his eccentric young nephew, Jesse (played by Woody Norman). The two take a cross-country trip and discover they have more in common than they thought. The film first premiered at Telluride Film Festival in September, and also stars Gaby Hoffmann, Scoot McNairy, Molly Webster, and Jaboukie Young-White.

With the combined power of Phoenix and a black-and-white palette, C’mon C’mon is sure to get some awards buzz in the coming months. Here’s everything you need to know about where to watch C’mon C’mon and when to expect C’mon C’mon on streaming.

WHERE TO WATCH CMON CMON:

C’mon C’mon is now available on digital platforms like iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, YouTube, and Vudu. And you might not have to wait too long for that. The film will be on Blu-Ray on April 12.

WHEN WILL CMON CMON BE STREAMING?

C’mon C’mon became available to rent for $19.99 on digital platforms on December 23, 2021, a little over a month after it opened in theaters. You can now buy it for $14.99 to watch it in HD, or $12.99 to watch it in SD, on platforms like iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, YouTube, and Vudu.

WILL CMON CMON BE ON HBO MAX?

No. C’mon C’mon will not be on HBO Max, because C’mon C’mon is an A24 film, and not a Warner Bros. film. While HBO Max—which is owned by Warner Media— is the streaming home for Warner Bros. blockbusters like Dune, it will not be the streaming home for C’mon C’mon. (At least, not for a while.)

IS CMON CMON ON NETFLIX?

No. It’s possible that C’mon C’mon will be on Netflix someday, given that the streaming service hosts a number of A24 films, including Uncut Gems. But there’s no guarantee. If you don’t want to miss the film, your best bet is to see C’mon C’mon in a movie theater or wait to rent it for $19.99.
