Jen Shah’s Legal Drama To Be Explored in New Hulu Documentary

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah‘s legal woes will take center stage in The Housewife & the Shah Shocker, a new ABC News Original premiering on Hulu on November 29. The project comes from the same studio that made The Housewife & the Hustler, which focused on criminal allegations against The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Erika and Tom Girardi.

Shah and her assistant Stuart Smith were arrested and charged in March with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing, and one count of conspiracy to commit laundering. Shah, who allegedly defrauded 10 or more persons over the age of 55, is facing up to 30 years in prison.

According to the official synopsis, The Housewife & the Shah Shocker will explore Shah’s “alleged involvement in a long-running telemarketing scheme that preyed on the elderly” and include interviews with some of Shah’s friends, employees, and family members. Also featured are “alleged victims Penny Jo Pucket and Marie Walkere,” who “reveal how they were duped by several companies involved in the alleged scam and the damage that wreaked havoc in their lives.”

“[Jen Shah] does say that she’s the Wizard of Oz, the woman behind the curtain,” Shah’s former designer Koa Johnson says in the trailer for The Housewife & the Shah Shocker. “I think she’s the Wicked Witch of the West.”

The documentary is produced for Hulu by ABC News Studios. Roxanna Sherwood serves as senior executive producer, and Loen Kelley is senior producer.

The Housewife & the Shah Shocker premieres on Hulu on November 29. Scroll up to watch the official trailer.
