‘And Just Like That’ Trailer: The Girls Are (Mostly) Back In Town In This ‘Sex and the City’ Revival

It’s almost time to catch up with the ladies of Sex and the City. Today, HBO Max released a new trailer for the upcoming sequel series And Just Like That, which premieres on December 9.

The revival follows Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) “as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

The latest trailer shows Carrie reciting one of her signature monologues not in a sex and dating column, but on a podcast. “The more I live, the more I find that if you have good friends in your corner, anything’s possible,” she muses.

While there are some modern additions to the Sex and the City universe (dating apps! Chris Noth’s Mr. Big on a Peloton!), it looks like And Just Like That will feature the same lavish outfits, candid sex talks, and enviable New York locales as always.

Noticeably absent from the series is Kim Cattrall, who won’t reprise her beloved Sex and the City character Samantha Jones amid reports of a longstanding feud between herself and some of the show’s cast and crew members.

Apart from Parker, Davis, Nixon, and Noth, other returning Sex and the City cast members include Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, and the late Willie Garson. Newcomers include Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, and Alexa Swinton.

The first two episodes of And Just Like That will premiere Thursday, December 9, on HBO Max. The following eight episodes will premiere weekly on subsequent Thursdays. Scroll up to watch the latest trailer.
