And Just Like That... the Sex and the City reboot is coming to HBO Max. Following the continuing journeys of lifelong besties Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), HBO Max’s And Just Like That… will explore how the once lovelorn thirtysomethings of Sex and the City are approaching life in New York City in their 50s. Original series co-creator Michael Patrick King is back for the ride, while Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, and Evan Handler are all reprising their original roles. When Sex and the City premiered on HBO in 1998, it was considered revolutionary for its candid exploration of sexuality and adult female friendships. Now, HBO Max’s And Just Like That… is hoping to look at how life has and hasn’t changed for Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda in the last two decades. Perhaps the biggest change is that Samantha (Kim Cattrall) won’t be appearing in the first season of the series. Instead, the ladies will have a few new pals orbiting their world, played by Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, and Karen Pittman.
