Where Was Netflix’s ‘The Unforgivable’ Filmed?

Netflix‘s new Sandra Bullock-led film The Unforgivable is the kind of intimate, character-driven film that doesn’t rely on extensive special effects or grand Hollywood to tell its story.

Based on the 2009 British miniseries Unforgiven, director Nora Fingscheidt’s The Unforgivable stars Bullock as Ruth Slater, who has just been released from prison after serving a 20-year sentence for killing a police officer. The film follows her as she attempts to rebuild her life from the ashes. Apart from Bullock’s dedicated performance, the film manages to hold onto authenticity because it was filmed in some very real locations.

So, where was The Unforgivable brought to life, anyway? Read on to get the scoop on the Netflix movie’s filming location.

WHERE WAS THE UNFORGIVABLE FILMED?

The Unforgivable was largely filmed on location in British Columbia, Canada. Additional scenes were shot in the cities of Coquitlam and Vancouver, as well as Surrey City Hall and Queen Elizabeth Park’s Bloedel Conservatory.
