Megan Thee Stallion Inks Exclusive Partnership with Netflix

Megan Thee Stallion is taking good news to the next level. The Grammy Award-winning musician has just struck an exclusive first look partnership with Netflix, where she’s now set to create and executive produce new series and other projects for the mega streamer. We’ll take a 10-part docuseries about the making of the “WAP” music video, please!

“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix,” Megan Thee Stallion said in a statement. “Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

The singer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur also made headlines earlier this week when she graduated from Texas Southern University with a degree in health administration. Congratulations all around, Megan!

“Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture,” said Tracy Pakosta, Head of Comedy at Netflix. “She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey.”

Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, hails from Houston and, in recent years, has become a three-time Grammy winning cultural icon. She holds two global record-breaking Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits thanks to “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyoncé, as well as “WAP” with Cardi B. She won Best New Artist at the Grammy’s this year, and has nine BET Awards for her work.

The musician was also named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020. Last year, after a powerful performance on Saturday Night Life, Megan published monumental piece “Why I Speak Up For Black Women” in The New York Times.

Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t have much in the name of a filmography — along with Saturday Night Live, she’s starred in episodes of Good Girls and Legendary — but stay tuned on what’s to come from the iconic performer.
