As is now tradition, the new year brings with it a new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. That means we have a brand new cast of killer queens ready to kick off a year that’s gonna be packed with just as much — if not more! — Drag Race than last year. It all begins on Friday, January 7 with the premiere of Season 14, and we are ready for it.

But this ain’t the only Drag Race-related tradition we honor at the top of the year here at Decider. Coinciding with the season premiere, we like to keep it honest and positive with our annual Drag Race cast love-fest. Just like with Season 13’s queens, we got the chance to interview the entire cast of Season 14 in four groups — and of course we asked each batch of queens to name the fiercest things about their new drag sisters.

Y’all know there’s gonna be disagreements and drama this season, so why not start with the positive? After all, TV is TV and real life is a whole other thing. No matter how much you see in the edit, it ain’t the whole story — and that’s why we like to start off the year by having the dolls read each other to … cleanliness? Whatever the opposite of “read to filth” is? That.

DeJa Skye / Jasmine Kennedie / Kerri Colby

DeJa Skye: I will say this: when I first met Kerri, she was so breathtakingly beautiful and humble at the same time. You don’t find that! You find someone that is just that stunning and just stuck up. She was the most humble person ever. First thing about Jasmine: she loves to hear her voice — and we love that about her. I’m telling you, it’s crazy. You would think that Jasmine would kind of get that like, “Oh my god, Jasmine, shut up.” No. I fucking love hearing her voice.

Jasmine Kennedie: I love you so much. I definitely would say for Kerri, she’s probably one of the most caring and most thoughtful people out of everyone I’ve met. These two honestly were probably one of my biggest rocks in the competition in terms of my emotions. Kerri really cares about you and she’ll check in on you and things like that throughout the week. She’s a mama bear and I love her. DeJa — she as well is very good at making you feel comfortable and warm and not feel the pressures on you 24/7. She makes you realize that you can have fun, you can chill and have a good time. I basically needed therapists the whole time.

DeJa Skye: We were your queen care!

Kerri Colby: That’s a mood. Okay, so for me I’m gonna keep it a little silly here. I don’t have necessarily ways to explain besides more like blurbs. So, for me, DeJa gives me — it’s really gonna sound crazy, but I call it Super Maka Chaka energy. You know, we get it. We are both just absolute Fraggle Rock Muppets and I think that is the most amazing motivator for any room. She’s the reason I’m not just over here panicking. And for Miss Jasmine, honey, she is Miss Mouth Almighty. And you know what? She owns that title beautifully and I love that because it gives me a break and I don’t have to hear myself talk for the first time ever. So, it’s really nice.

Jorgeous / Kornbread 'The Snack' Jeté / Orion Story / Willow Pill

Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté: Jorgeous — obviously a great performer but that makeup is unreal. I just want to snatch her eyebrows off every time I see her. Orion talks in this very massively deep low tone voice which trickles down people’s spine, but also the hair. The hair is sick. They make their own hair. And Willow — just aesthetic alone. Willow is one of my favorite human beings and I never know what to expect from Willow. It’s always like, what is this bitch gonna bring? So definitely Willow’s aesthetic in general.

Jorgeous: I just want to say that all three of these queens are fucking weirdos. Yes, they’re weirdos, but in the best way possible. Like their minds… their minds are so genius and they are so funny. And like, oh my god, their styles — amazing. And I just want to say that I love all three of them much.

Willow Pill: I’ll say I think Jorgeous has killer abs, Orion has killer cheekbones, and Kornbread’s got a killer ass.

Orion Story: I love that everyone has such a different spin on drag. It’s like, we’re all so different and it’s so amazing. I think everyone is so unique in their own way.

Bosco / Daya Betty / June Jambalaya

June Jambalaya: The fiercest thing about Daya — I was very impressed with her sewing ability. The fiercest thing about Bosco is her versatility. There was nothing she couldn’t do.

Daya Betty: That’s so sweet. So, I would say June can dance the house down boots. It is freaking insane. It’s a talent I’m so jealous of from her. So, she’s an amazing, amazing performer. And then Bosco — Bosco comes at you from every direction. Just when you think she’s gonna do something that you’re like, “I don’t know if she’ll be good at it,” — nope, she’s good at pretty much everything. I would say her looks. She is a killer with looks.

Bosco: June — the first thing I noticed about June is her face is so fucking beautiful. It is so fierce. It is just like one of the prettiest faces I’ve ever seen in drag. And then Daya has like one of the meanest mugs I’ve ever seen. That bitch can paint. We have a very, very beautiful cast and I’m lucky to be on the call with one of the most beautiful in the cast and one of the most painted in the cast.

Alyssa Hunter / Angeria Paris VanMichaels / Lady Camden / Maddy Morphosis

Angeria Paris VanMichaels: The fiercest thing about Lady Camden is her dancing. Her ballet background? Sickening. The fiercest thing about Maddie is definitely her mind. The way that her mind works and the things that she thinks of and I’m just like, “Oh my god, why did I not think that?” And then Alyssa — the fashion. The fashion is just [snaps].

Alyssa Hunter: Thank you, baby!

Maddy Morphosis: I would echo the same thing about Alyssa. The fashion, the looks, she has the concepts. With Lady Camden: performance, obviously. She’s everything on the stage. And then Angeria — it’s just her personality. She’s not what you think of when you think of a pageant girl. There’s so much more than just some gowns to Angeria.

Alyssa Hunter: I think Maddie represents the story of a new generation and the intelligence and the strength that we have as drag [queens]. Miss Angeria, Miss Angie — she has the biggest heart in this season. I love you, you know. You already know that. And Miss Lady Camden is such an inspiration because you are from the UK, right? And being here in the states and becoming a great artist and now being on RuPaul’s Drag Race in America — you’re going to be a great inspiration. And obviously, bitch, you’re a ballet dancer. You’re fierce, bitch.

Lady Camden: Well thank you! I would have to echo the same things you guys said, but I will say Maddy has a sense of humor that is so unique and really catches people by surprise in such a smart, intelligent way that I think people are gonna fall in love with. Angie has so much love in her personality. She’s a very loving person and I feel like I instantly fell in love with her as soon as I started talking to her. And then Alyssa I think has a fiery passion in her drag that I think is really clear as soon as you see her on the runway, but also in the challenges.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 premieres on VH1 at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, January 7
