Try as we might, we just can’t let it go. Today Disney+‘s gem High School Musical: The Musical: The Series announced what musical it will be performing for its upcoming season. After a tribute to High School Musical: The Musical in Season 1 and Beauty and the Beast in Season 2, Season 3 will be all about Frozen. That’s not all this series has in store. No, this time around a major member of the original High School Musical franchise will officially be joining the cast: Corbin Bleu.

Back in November, the series teased that it would be paying homage to Frozen in Season 3. Well, that teaser has officially become fact. The Broadway version of Frozen will serve as this season’s summer musical. Yeah, that’s right. Olivia Rodrigo will almost certainly be singing “Let It Go,” fulfilling the dreams of millennials with kids everywhere. Additionally, this new installment will feature music from Camp Rock and the High School Musical franchise.

But wait, there’s more! Disney+ also announced this season’s new stars, and they are good ones. Starring as himself and not the basketball-loving Chad, Corbin Bleu will be joining the upcoming season. Nowadays, Bleu is best known for starring in the TV movies Love, For Real and A Christmas Dance Revolution. He’s also starred in the Broadway shows Kiss Me Kate, Godspell, In the Heights, and Holiday Inn.

Joining Bleu are Adrian Lyles, Saylor Bell, Meg Donnelly, and Jason Earles. Lyles will star as Jet, the mysterious new kid at Camp Shallow Lake. This series regular is a complete newcomer; High School Musical: The Musical: The Series marks his first onscreen role. Bell (Mom, New Girl, I DIdn’t Do It) will star as Maddox, a smart techie who always follows the rules. Guest star Donnelly (ZOMBIES, American Housewife) will star as Val, a funny and confident Counselor-in-Training who is ready to choreograph this new play. We’ll see if Carlos (Frankie Rodriguez) and Gina (Sofia Wylie) will let her. Finally, rounding out the cast is guest star Jason Earles (Hannah Montana, Kickin’ It), who will star as Dewey Wood, the stone-faced Camp Director of Camp Shallow Lake. Prior to starring in the show, Earles served as the acting coach for the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series during the show’s first two seasons. Now it’s the master’s time to shine.

This season will also see the returns of series regulars Joshua Bassett (Ricky), Matt Cornett (E.J.), Sofia Wylie (Gina), Julia Lester (Ashlyn), Dara Reneé (Kourtney), Frankie Rodriguez (Carlos), Kate Reinders (Miss Jenn), Olivia Rose Keegan (Lily), and Olivia Rodrigo (Nini).

We don’t have a premiere date for Season 3 yet. But considering that production for the series has finally started, we’ll probably have that date soon. Now excuse us while we rewatch Frozen and plan out our HSM:TM:TS dream casting.
