After last night’s (Feb. 6) tantalizing episode, Euphoria will have to answer for its crimes. Spoilers ahead: Will Rue (Zendaya) make it home safely? How will she pay for the drugs that have been flushed down the toilet? Can Jules (Hunter Schafer) ever forgive her now ex-girlfriend for everything she’s said? And, perhaps above all else, what’s going to happen with Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddy (Alexa Demie)? There’s a lot at stake for the upcoming Episode 6 of Sam Levinson‘s buzzy teen drama, and luckily, HBO has already released a preview.
The cursed hallway is back at the beginning of the new Euphoria promo teaser, which sees Zendaya suffering through more symptoms of withdrawal. We see her limping through her home, curled up on the bathroom tile, and shaking in an attempt to open a lone Jolly Rancher candy. Things could be worse, though: it appears that Rue has been freed from the cruel gasp of Laurie the drug dealer.
“I’m sure most people would say that the world would be better place without me,” Rue narrates. “I don’t disagree. I wish I could say I didn’t mean any of it. But I thought it. I felt it. I said it.”
After an entire episode without any sightings of Nate (Jacob Elordi), the macho creep returns in this new trailer, out for blood. He seems to be visiting either Maddy or Cassie, stating that he’s “not here to apologize.” Something’s up. Maddy grasps the infamous disc — which holds a recording of Nate’s dad having sex with Jules — while Cassie has a complete meltdown over betraying her best friend. “They weren’t boyfriend and girlfriend!” Cassie screams to her mom and sister, who seem unenthused over the tantrum.
What’s Maddy going to do about Cassie and Nate? While she threatens to “actually murder” Cassie (featuring a shot of a gun), she says she has “a few ideas” for Nate too. We even get a shot of this season’s afterthoughts, Kat (Barbie Ferreira) and Ethan (Austin Abrams) to round out the bunch.
