Woman Crush Wednesday: Give it Up for ‘The Sky Is Everywhere’ Star Grace Kaufman

Valentine’s Day is nearly upon us and we’re already falling for all the newest premiering titles hitting your favorite streaming services in the next week. But before we go all-in on V-Day, we’re going to celebrate another special day full of love: Woman Crush Wednesday (of course)! This week, we’re talking about a wonderful woman who, despite being only 19 years-old, has already built up an impressive career as an actress with the great work she has put in over the last 11 years. So, without further ado, give it up for your WCW, the glorious Grace Kaufman!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Grace Kaufman

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Kaufman stars as Lennie Walker in the upcoming Apple TV+ and A24 original title, The Sky Is Everywhere, which premieres both on Apple TV+ and in theaters this Friday, February 11th. Based on Jandy Nelson’s 2010 young adult novel of the same name, this drama film revolves around a shy, teenage musician (Kaufman) who tries to keep things together in the aftermath of her older, more outgoing sister, Bailey’s (Havana Rose Liu) sudden death. What ensues is a story about love, coming to terms with loss, and coming of age that is sure to resonate and tug on your heartstrings. In addition to Kaufman and Liu, the movie also features Jason Segel, Cherry Jones, Jacques Colimon, Pico Alexander, and Ji-young Yoo. Make sure to see all of their fantastic work by streaming The Sky Is Everywhere as soon as it hits Apple TV+.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Kaufman’s professional onscreen career began with a bang in 2011, starting with her starring role as Lucy in independent short film Buttons in the Ground, and continuing on that year to include appearances in TV series The Closer and Special Agent Oso, as well as in dramatic short film Kaylien. Kaufman continued to gain experience with guest work in shows like Free AgentsJessieDeadtime Stories, and Doc McStuffins, as well as work in feature films like 2013 horror drama Grave Secrets and 2014 family drama My Sister. The actresses’s career was taken to the next level, however, in 2014, with her first major mainstream role as Bronwen in CBS sitcom Bad Teacher.

From there, Kaufman quickly accumulated credits in shows like 2 Broke Girls, Lab RatsBubble GuppiesThe Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show, and in movies like 2015 comedies Chevy and Table 58, 2016 historical comedy Brave New Jersey, and 2017 romantic-drama All Summers End. Within the last several years, Kaufman has especially made a mark in media (and our minds!) with her work in 2022 psychological-thriller film Resurrection, as well as her main and recurring roles in shows like The Last ShipWhisker Haven, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, The Fungies, and Man With a Plan. Clearly, Kaufman is a remarkable talent who has already achieved so much before even reaching the of 20, so be sure to keep an eye on her as she continues to thrive as an actor and human being in the years to come!

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: While it’s not yet confirmed what is next for Kaufman role-wise as of right now, you can at least keep up with the latest from the actress by following her on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Never miss a moment from this week’s amazing WCW, Grace Kaufman!
