Sydney Sweeney isn’t the only one with thoughts about her nude scenes in Euphoria. Her male co-star Jacob Elordi also opened up about his qualms with filming in the nude, saying that these scenes are “always weird.” As he’s set to visit The Ellen Show today, the HBO star shared his opinions about stripping bare in previews for his appearance. His opinion? Showing up to set naked for Euphoria is about just as bad as being naked in front of your family. Talk about humiliating!

“You’re naked a lot,” Ellen DeGeneres began, earning a whoop from the audience. “When the write the script, do they say, ‘Hey, how do you feel about being naked?’ Or are you just all of a sudden surprised, ‘Oh, I have to be naked!'”

Elordi, who plays brooding high schooler Nate Jacobs on the show, shared that he doesn’t really get a say in the matter.

“You have no choice. Every scene is like: He sleeps with this person. He does this with this person, naked. I’ve done some movies where it gets to the point where it’s like: He goes to the mall shirtless. You’re like, why? Why would you possibly need it?”

“Well, look at you, that’s why,” DeGeneres responded. With that, Elordi jokingly crossed his arms over his midsection.

DeGeneres proceeded to ask Elordi about the potential double standard with women filming naked, seeing as Sweeney was able to give her thoughts about all nude scenes before they shot. In order to explain his stance on filming said nude scenes, Elordi dug deep into Nate Jacobs’ character.

“I think on Euphoria, it comes with the territory of the character. He’s this ultra-masculine, macho jock. Those guys, I think, tend to get around pretty shirtless, so it’s sort of okay,” he continued, also shouting out his intimacy coordinator. “She’s like a second mother.”

Elordi also shouted out the crew alongside his intimacy coordinator, suggesting that everyone is one big happy family. That does, however, come with a slight twist.

“It’s like getting naked in front of your family!” Elordi joked. “Which is weird. It’s always weird.”

Elordi’s appearance on The Ellen Show will air today 3 p.m. ET on CBS.
