Sanditon Season 2 is really, finally, truly here! The series inspired by Jane Austen‘s final, unfinished novel was once thought to be beyond the brink of return, but tonight Sanditon Season 2 will premiere on Masterpiece on PBS and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel. The new season will reunite Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) with the magical seaside resort of Sanditon and all its scandalous residents.
Sanditon Season 1 followed the story of Charlotte Heywood, a sheltered young woman who gets the opportunity to leave her family’s farm for a season by the sea. There, she meets a rogue’s gallery of schemers, dreamers, and love interests. At first, she spars with her host’s handsome brother Sidney (Theo James), but the two soon discover they passionately love each other. The season ends with Sidney opting to marry for money to save his family’s fortunes and the future of Sanditon. Charlotte is left bereft.
Sanditon Season 2 will follow Charlotte rebuilding her life after heartache. She returns to Sanditon with sister Alison (Rosie Graham) in tow and is soon reunited with old friends like Georgiana Lambe (Crystal Clarke) and Arthur Parker (Turlough Convery). However Sanditon fans will likely be most intrigued by two new men in Charlotte’s orbit: Colonel Francis Lennox (Tom Weston-Jones) and Alexander Colbourne (Ben Lloyd-Hughes).

WHAT TIME WILL SANDITON SEASON 2 PREMIERE? SANDITON SEASON 2 RELEASE TIME:
Sanditon Season 2 is scheduled to make its debut on Masterpiece on PBS at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT on March 20. After that, new episodes premiere weekly on Sundays on the PBS program.
Sanditon Season 2 Episode 1 will also be live on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel at 9 PM ET. However, as a special treat, Sanditon Season 2 Episode 2 will premiere early on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel at 10 PM ET/9 PM CT March 20. New episodes will launch weekly after that.
