The Lost City is barreling into theaters this weekend, just in time to remind us that some movies are made to entertain, not just to win Oscars.
Directed by Aaron and Adam Nee, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Dana Fox and Oren Uziel, The Lost City promises to be the kind of classic action-comedy film that hit big in the early 2000s. Sandra Bullock stars as an author named Loretta, whose adventure-romance novels about a sexy hero named Dash always feature a cover photograph of a ditzy model named Alan (Channing Tatum).
One day, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who takes her books a little too seriously. And so the himbo Alan attempts to become the noble hero he portrays in order to save her. As you might expect, comical shenanigans ensue.

WHERE TO WATCH THE LOST CITY:
UPDATE (5/9/2022): Paramount has announced that The Lost City will be streaming free to subscribers on Paramount+ beginning on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
For now, the only way to watch The Lost City is to go to a movie theater. The Lost City will open in theaters in the U.S on March 25, 2022. You can find tickets at a theater near you here.
After the movie’s theatrical run, you will be able to stream The Lost City on Paramount+, the Paramount streaming service. Paramount+ offers a premium plan priced at $9.99/month or an ad-supported plan for $5.99/month.
WILL THE LOST CITY BE ON HBO MAX? IS THE LOST CITY ON HBO MAX?
No. The Lost City is a Paramount movie, not a Warner Bros. movie, and therefore will not be streaming on HBO Max when it opens in theaters. More than that, HBO Max will no longer be streaming theatrical movies in 2022. Last year, Warner Media opted to simultaneously release its theatrical slate on streaming, meaning HBO Max subscribers could watch movies like Matrix Resurrections at home. This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max.
IS THE LOST CITY ON NETFLIX?
No. The Lost City is not on Netflix, and, because it’s going to Paramount+, it likely will not be on Netflix any time soon. Sorry!
WHEN WILL THE LOST CITY BE STREAMING ONLINE? WHEN WILL THE LOST CITY BE ON PARAMOUNT PLUS?
UPDATE (5/9/2022): Paramount has announced that The Lost City will be streaming free to subscribers on Paramount+ beginning on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. On the same day, the movie will also be available to buy at home on Digital, on 4K Ultra HD, or on Blu-ray and will include over 50 minutes of bonus content.
We can expect The Lost City to be on Paramount+ after 30 to 45 days in theaters. Last year, Paramount announced all of its titles would be moving to Paramount+ after 30 days in theaters, while big tentpole titles would get 45 days in theaters. Therefore, you should see The Lost City on Paramount+ around early-to-mid May 2022.
