New on Netflix April 8: Metal Lords

New on Netflix this weekend is Metal Lords, a musical masterpiece that is sure to rock your world. This R-rated musical dramedy film tells the story of Hunter (Adrian Greensmith) and Kevin (Jaeden Martell): teenage misfits who want to start a heavy metal band with the goal to enter and win the Battle of the Bands, which will earn them the adoration and respect they have always been denied at school. However, that plan hits a snag when they struggle to recruit a bass player in their school where no one seems to care about metal music — except one talented cellist who might be up for the job. All the Old Knives is all we can talk about on Prime Video this weekend. Based on the novel of the same name, this thriller film follows CIA operatives — and former lovers, to add a juicy twist — Henry (Chris Pine) and Celia (Thandiwe Newton) as they reunite to go over a case in Vienna from six years ago that could have gotten another agent compromised. Haunted by their former failures, the ex-partners (in more ways than one!) endeavor to work together to get to the bottom of what went wrong in that case in order to put the tragic events behind them once and for all. The original comedy series Woke is back for another season new on Hulu this weekend.
