‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Announces All-Winners Cast for Season 7

The story of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2022 has gotta be wish fulfillment. Why? Because the long-awaited all-winners season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is coming! Paramount+ announced the cast and premiere date of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 7, and they’re all winners, baby.

In this first for the franchise, eight crowned queens from across the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise will return to the competition and vie for the title of Queen of All Queens. Oh — and they’re competing for a cash prize of $200,000! That will be the most money awarded to a single queen in a single season in Drag Race herstory.

The cast includes Raja (Season 3), Jinkx Monsoon (Season 5), Monét X Change (All Stars 4), Trinity the Tuck (All Stars 4), Yvie Oddly (Season 11), The Vivienne (UK Season 1), Jaida Essence Hall (Season 12), and Shea Couleé (All Stars 5). Fans will get an extended first look at the cast during the grand finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 on Friday April 22 at 8 p.m. ET on VH1

Like last year’s season of All Stars, Season 7 will also air exclusively on Paramount+. The season will debut on May 20 with two episodes dropping at once. The new All Stars season comes paired with RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked.

In the lead-up to the All Stars 7 premiere, VH1 will air a four-part special titled Countdown to All Stars 7: You’re a Winner Baby. The special series will feature Drag Race alumni watching and reacting to all of the All Stars 7 cast’s fiercest moments from their previous seasons. Countdown to All Stars 7: You’re a Winner Baby will premiere on VH1 on April 29 at 8 pm ET and will also be able to stream via the RuPaul’s Drag Race YouTube channel.

This season is something to get excited about — even if it means that we’ll see some previously undefeated, fan favorite queens be told to sashay away for the first time ever. Some storylines to watch out for: franchise legends Raja and Jinkx re-entering a totally leveled-up competition, Monét and Trinity aiming to break their All Stars 4 tie, and The Vivienne competing against a whole cast of queens from another country.

It’s also worth noting that this is a much smaller All Stars cast than we’re used to seeing. Last season gave us the largest All Stars cast ever with 13 queens, and there’s only 8 queens competing in Season 7. Does that mean that we’re in for a shorter season, especially since two episodes are dropping at once? Or is it possible that we’re in for a format shake-up, one that could see queens stick around for longer without eliminations? Honestly, with a cast this stacked, it would be a shame to say goodbye to any of them after one episode. No matter what, though, we cannot wait to see how this turns out.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 7 premieres on Paramount+ on May 20.
