Warner Bros. is still squeezing money out of the Harry Potter franchise with Fantastic Beasts 3, aka Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
The third installment of this prequel film series follows the story of a young Albus Dumbledore, and his boyfriend-turned-enemy Gellert Grindelwald. Directed by David Yates, the cast includes Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald. Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, and Katherine Waterston also star.

WILL FANTASTIC BEASTS THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE BE ON HBO MAX?
Yes, eventually—but the new Fantastic Beasts movie will not be on HBO Max at the same time it opens in theaters, because HBO Max is not streaming theatrical movies in 2022. Last year, Warner Bros. opted to simultaneously release its theatrical slate on streaming, meaning HBO Max subscribers could watch movies like Matrix Resurrections at home. This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max.
WHEN WILL FANTASTIC BEASTS 3 BE STREAMING ON HBO MAX?
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore should be on HBO Max on Monday, May 30, 2022, aka 45 days after the movie opened in theaters on April 15. This would follow the same release pattern as The Batman, which opened in theaters on March 4, and is coming to HBO Max on Monday, April 18.
WILL FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE BE ON DIGITAL OR VOD?
Yes. After the movie’s theatrical run, Fantastic Beasts 3 will also be available to buy or rent on digital platforms like Amazon Prime, iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, and more, in addition to streaming on HBO Max.
IS FANTASTIC BEASTS 3 ON NETFLIX?
No. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film will have a streaming home on HBO Max. If you want to watch the new Fantastic Beasts movie at home, you’ll have to watch it on HBO Max or purchase the movie on VOD in May.
