Where is ‘Workin’ Moms’ Filmed?

Netflix’s Workin’ Moms first premiered on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 2017, and after three seasons, Netflix acquired the show, bringing it to an even wider audience. The comedy series about four working women, Kate (played by show creator Catherine Reitman), Anne (Dani Kind), Frankie (Juno Rinaldi), and Jenny (Jessalyn Wanlim) who formed a friendship in their Mommy and Me class, is just about to enter its sixth season on the streamer.

The series takes place in Toronto, Canada, and here’s a guide to some of the filming locations featured on Workin’ Moms.

Where is Workin’ Moms filmed?

The majority of Workin’ Moms is filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Reitman, the daughter of Canadian comedy director Ivan Reitman, is Canadian-American and her husband and co-producer on the series, Philip Sternberg is also Canadian, so it made sense to them to set the show in a place they were familiar with.

In an interview about Workin’ Moms, Reitman, who lives in Toronto, has said “Coming to Canada has been incredibly liberating, both creatively and production-wise for [my husband and co-producer/co-star] Philip and I,” and the series uses many of Toronto’s real exterior locations, including Avenal Drive and Glen Cedar Road in Midtown Toronto, and the lakefront Toronto neighborhood Leslieville, on the series.

Interior scenes of Workin’ Moms are shot on a CBC soundstage in Toronto.

You can watch seasons 1-5 Workin’ Moms now on Netflix, Season 6 premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, May 10.
