‘Summer House’ Fans Blame Age Gap for Cast Divide Raised During Reunion

Reality TV reunion specials are where cast bring their A-game in terms of drama and dishing out their real feelings, and last night’s Summer House reunion was no different. While there were plenty of big moments on the show, most of the conflict was driven by Paige DeSorbo, who seems to have alienated herself from several of her castmates as well as fans after last night’s show.

Housemate Lindsay Hubbard started the season by enjoying her single life, and coming off of a miscarriage, which she spoke openly about on the show. During the season, DeSorbo compared Hubbard’s sexual freedom to living in a brothel, a comment she addressed on the reunion, saying it was because she felt that Lindsay was “flip-flopping” between men. Paige also noted that she felt like an outsider on the show, explaining on the reunion, “My first season, when I walked into the kitchen and I felt the energy between Lindsay, Danielle and Amanda, it was stifling.”

Fans have been pointing out that perhaps some of the division has to do with the Summer House cast’s ages, as Paige, who is 29, is on the younger end of the spectrum. (As for the other Summer House cast’s ages, Lindsay is 35 and Danielle is 33, but Amanda is the same age as Paige, 29, though her husband Kyle is 39, so maybe some of his, uh, wisdom, rubs off on her. At age 45, Des Bishop, who appeared briefly on the show, has been the oldest person to pass through the Summer House.)

Of course there are other fans who just blame Paige’s bad attitude and not her age for the rift at the reunion.

Whatever the reason, we’re sure there’s more drama where that came from on part two of the reunion next Monday, May 16 at 9PM ET on Bravo.
