iCarly is about to learn all about the joy and horrors of merchandising. Decider has your first look at Season 2’s upcoming episode, “i’M A USA Bae”, which revolves around Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) having a doll designed after her. But that’s not why we’re excited for this new episode. No, this week we’re getting more of Josh Peck as Carly’s manager, and it’s a Nickelodeon match made in heaven.

“Team, besties, familia, can I ask you a serious question?” Paul (Peck) asks. “When you woke up this morning, did you think it was gonna be just like an ordinary day or did you think you would get news that would change your life forever?”

“Ordinary day. But I feel like I was dead stupid wrong,” Carly fires back.

After a quick back and forth where Carly wonders if she’s secretly pregnant, Paul reveals that Carly has been chosen to be the next USA Bae doll. Think of it as a modern American Girl situation.

“I’m gonna be a doll, bitches!” Carly yells.

But as is always the case in this show, things don’t go according to plan. When Carly realizes that her USA Bae doll looks nothing like her, she panics. Meanwhile, Freddie (Nathan Kress) has been having relationship troubles with his new lady and makes the mistake of asking Spencer (Jerry Trainor) for help. Spencer’s solution? A monkey. Yes, it’s all very silly, but that’s always been the charm of iCarly.

As tempting as monkey antics may be, the return of Paul is even more exciting. Cosgrove and Peck basically grew up together on screen. In Drake & Josh, Cosgrove played Josh’s bratty stepsister Megan, a character who never missed an opportunity to prank her brothers. In many ways, Megan was the crueler prototype for Carly. Even in early seasons of Drake & Josh, Peck and Cosgrove had fantastic chemistry and were always able to play off each other’s one liners. As much fun as it was to see them reunite in “iBuild a Team”, it’s even better to know that Peck may be appearing in this universe more often. Fingers crossed for series regular status. We all need more Josh Peck in our lives.

iCarly‘s “i’M a USA Bae” premieres on Paramount+ this Friday, May 20. Check out the clip above and bask in Carly’s short-lived happiness.
