Stream It Or Skip It: 'FBI: Most Wanted' Season 5 On CBS, Where Remy Scott Deals With Family Issues As Nina Chase Joins The Team

CBS pulled the Season 4 finale of its crime drama, FBI, following a deadly elementary school shooting in Texas on Tuesday (May 24). The network aired a re-run of FBI in place of the planned episode, “Prodigal Son,” the Associated Press reports.

CBS also stated they had canceled the FBI finale on Twitter yesterday evening, writing, “In light of current events, a rebroadcast of FBI will air tonight. The FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted season finales will air as scheduled.”

Instead of “Prodigal Son,” CBS aired the Season 4 episode “Under Pressure,” which originally premiered in February.

The official episode description for “Prodigal Son” reads: “As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate.”

It is unclear when or if the network plans to air “Prodigal Son.” CBS did not immediately respond when reached for comment by Decider.

The FBI finale was pulled after a gunman shot and killed 19 elementary school students and two adults at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The suspected shooter, an 18-year-old man, was fatally shot at the scene, according to CBS News.

FBI, which first premiered on CBS in 2018, follows special agents working out of the New York FBI office as they investigate and solve crimes. The series, which comes from Law & Order‘s Dick Wolf, stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, John Boyd and Katherine Renee Turner.
