Step aside, The Flight Attendant Season 1. This week marks the premiere of the second season’s finale on HBO Max. And if you thought it was stressful to watch Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) take on one crazy, just wait until you see her tackle two.

Wondering how The Flight Attendant ends? Whether you’re looking for a guide to what you just watched or you’re the type of person who flips to the end of a book before you start Chapter 2, we have you covered. Spoilers ahead.

Who Was Impersonating Cassie?

Grace (Mae Martin) wasn’t the only one donning a long blonde wig and trench coat. It turns out that Dot (Cheryl Hines), Cassie’s boss’ boss in the CIA, was behind the entire Cassie-framing plan. Remember how whoever was framing Cassie needed to have high enough clearance to change her CIA files? Now that little detail makes sense.

“No Exit” ended with Grace ending her life while trapped with Cassie on a ferris wheel. After Cassie gave the police her statement, Dot tried to take her into the office. But when she noticed that Cassie was panicking, she changed her mind and offered to let her clean up at her apartment. Sounds nice, right? Wrong. Dot was counting on Cassie wanting a shower and used that desire to lead her to a place away from any other agents, breaking about a dozen protocols in the process.

Once Cassie noticed that Dot had the same perfume that arrived with the mysterious View-Master, she put the pieces together. But by then it was too late. Cassie tried to escape but was cornered by Dot who confessed to her plan. Basically, Dot had been selling CIA secrets for years, a side business that had resulted in a lot of lost lives. Her crimes were catching up to her, and she needed a fall girl, specifically one who was also a blonde CIA agent. Dot was seconds away from shooting Cassie when Cassie made her only move and set off the apartment’s alarm. Distracted, Dot put down her gun and covered her ears as Cassie ran right into the arms of two more agents.

Instead of apprehending her like Dot demanded, those agents grabbed their boss. Thank Benjamin (Mo McRae) for that move. The second he realized that Dot had broken protocol, Benjamin figured out who she really was. He was the one who sent those agents. In the end, Cassie got the credit for figuring out Dot’s plan and saving the agency from a lot more bloodshed.

Did Shane and Benjamin Survive?

They certainly did. Even though they were stabbed, both were able to leave the hospital with relatively minor injuries.

What Happened to Megan?

Thanks to Cassie, Megan (Rosie Perez) was able to strike a deal with Shane (Griffin Matthews). In exchange for telling the CIA everything she knew, Megan and her family were put under witness protection. We don’t know exactly where Megan is, but we know it’s somewhere snowy and that her family is with her. It looks like she may be able to repair things even after selling government secrets to North Korea and having an affair with Margaret Cho.

So After Taking Down a Corrupt CIA Agent, Cassie Was Safe, Right?

You would think that figuring out her doppelgänger situation and taking down a treacherous agent would be end-of-episode material. And you would be wrong. After escaping from Dot, Cassie took a panicked call from her brother Davey’s (T.R. Knight) husband. The new situation? Davey never got on the plane like he said he would and has been missing.

Cassie only worried about Davey’s whereabouts for a little while before Jenny the AA podcaster (Jessie Ennis) stepped in to save the day. Jenny told Cassie that Davey had stopped by her house to say bye. But before he could leave, he started acting odd.

Our high-flying hero rushed to another woman’s house only to find herself in another woman’s trap. Remember Buckley (Colin Woodell), aka Feliks? He was the one who stalked Cassie throughout Season 1 and almost killed her in the finale. Well, after his arrest, he started a relationship with Jenny, who was trolling for prison hotties. Does that sound a bit unhinged? You bet, because that’s exactly what Jenny is. Thanks to Feliks, Jenny became obsessed with finding Cassie so that she could become more like her. But the more she learned about Cassie, the more Jenny decided that killing her would be easier.

Facing two murderous women in one day is leap, even for Cassie. But it did allow her to confront a central truth about herself. All throughout this season, Cassie has been fighting with herself — literally. Most of the scenes in her mind palace have revolved around the real Cassie arguing with Sad Drunk Cassie, Party Girl Cassie, Perfect Cassie, or Teenage Cassie. But while trying to negotiate with Jenny, Cassie finally stopped fighting. She realized that she wasn’t just one of these women; she was all of them.

“You’re right about me,” Cassie said in the finale, trying to distract Jenny as a newly awakened Davey crept behind her. “I can’t lie anymore. This is who I am. I’m a deeply flawed, sad, alcoholic, narcissistic thrill addict. And I don’t like myself very much. But it is who I fucking am, OK? And it is enough for me.”

Points to Cassie for actual growth. You know who also gets points? Davey. While Jenny was soaking in Cassie’s self-hating monologue, Davey hit her over the head with a frying pan. The siblings knocked out Jenny, relieved to know that this unsettling killer will almost certainly be going to jail.

How Did The Flight Attendant Season 2 End?

Despite all the near murders, Season 2 ended on a happy note. Cassie and Shane went to Annie (Zosia Mamet) and Max’s (Deniz Akdeniz) Vegas wedding. Cassie was able to keep her part-time CIA gig. She even managed to clear things up with her handler, Benjamin. They both decided not to talk about their hookup and to just go back to being boss and subordinate. If Season 1 ended with Cassie promising that she would change, Season 2’s finale offers actual proof of that change.
