What Time Will ‘Norm Macdonald: Nothing Special’ be on Netflix?

Before Norm Macdonald died last year, he taped one, final stand-up special. And now, that special is debuting on Netflix.

Titled Norm Macdonald: Nothing Special, the set was self-taped in his home prior to his death in September 2021. He had been privately battling cancer for nine years.

The SNL alum recorded an hour’s worth of stand-up material in a rough single take during the pandemic lockdowns. In speaking about the special, Macdonald’s longtime producing partner Lori Jo Hoekstra had said: “Norm worked so hard on a new hour of material and wanted it to be seen. While this version of Nothing Special was not originally meant to be the final product, COVID restrictions prevented him from filming in front of an audience. We want to make sure his fans see this very funny hour. He left this gift for all of us.”

The special will also feature a bonus featurette at the end with Conan O’Brien, Adam Sandler, Dave Chappelle, David Letterman, David Spade, and Molly Shannon discussing Macdonald during a tribute at Netflix is a Joke: The Festival. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the comedy special when it drops.
