Weird Al Yankovic Acknowledges ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Mentioning Him

In the latest season of Netflix‘s hit sci-fi series Stranger Things, Weird Al Yankovic became one of the latest pop culture figures to be referenced.

The first part of the long-awaited fourth season finally premiered on Friday and the scene in question depicts Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) and Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) eating lunch in a high school cafeteria.

Series newcomer Joseph Quinn—who portrays their Hellfire Club leader Eddie Munson—approaches the duo and recalls first meeting the pair of friends while mentioning Yankovic.

“I knew it the moment I saw you. You sat at that table right over there looking like two little lost sheep,” he says, before speaking directly to Dustin. “You were wearing a Weird Al T-shirt, which I thought was brave.”

In response to the scene’s dialogue, Yankovic acknowledged his name being mentioned on Twitter.

“#Brave #StrangerThings,” he tweeted on Friday, just hours after the season became available on Netflix. You can check out his tweet below.

Stranger Things will conclude its current season with Volume 2, which will be available to stream on July 1 and will only feature two episodes.
