Jurassic World Dominion is stomping into theaters this weekend. And no matter how many bad reviews this movie gets, people still want to see those dinos roaming the earth.

The third installment in the Chris Pratt Jurassic World movies, and the sixth Jurassic Park movie overall, Jurassic World Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar, aka the dinosaur island, has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now freely roam the earth, living with—well, more like terrorizing—humankind. But humans have guns, so surely we’ll be able to win the dino war, right? Right?!

Well, you’ll just have to watch the movie to find out. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who also helmed the other two Jurassic World movies, Jurassic World 3 features some familiar faces from the original films, including Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill. That’s right, the golden trio is back. And, in addition to leading man Chris Pratt, the cast also includes Bryce Dallas Howard, DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, BD Wong, and Omar Sy.

WHERE TO WATCH JURASSIC WORLD 3:

For now, the only way to watch Jurassic World Dominion is to go to a movie theater. Jurassic World Dominion will open in theaters in the U.S on Friday, April 22. You can find tickets at a theater near you via Fandango.

After the movie’s theatrical run, you will be able to purchase Jurassic World Dominion on digital platforms like Amazon Prime, iTunes, YouTube, Google Play, and more.

WHEN WILL JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION BE STREAMING?

There is not yet a digital or VOD release date for Jurassic World Dominion, and it’s hard to say when you’ll be able to stream the blockbuster movie. That said, you likely won’t have to wait too long.

Jurassic World Dominion is a Universal movie, and previously Universal movies like The Northman landed on VOD about one month, or 45 days, after opening in theaters. If Jurassic World Dominion follows a similar pattern, you can expect to be able to rent the movie on VOD in mid-to-late July 2022. You should also expect to see Jurassic World 3 on Peacock Premium around the same time.

That said, other Universal movies like the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect went to digital after just two weeks in theaters. Still, other Universal movies, like the M. Night Shyamalan thriller Old, took over two months to release on digital.

All this is to say: We don’t know when exactly Jurassic World Dominion will be on VOD. But we can expect Jurassic World Dominion to be on Peacock in 2022.

WHEN WILL JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION BE ON PEACOCK?

While there is not yet an official Peacock release date for Jurassic World Dominion, we can expect Jurassic World Dominion to be on the streaming service after 45 days in theaters. Therefore, you should see Jurassic World Dominion on Peacock Premium as early as late July 2022.

Starting with the 2022 film slate, Universal movies are now going to Peacock Premium as soon as 45 days after opening in theaters. That said, it could very well be later than 45 days, considering Jurassic World Dominion is one of Universal’s biggest titles this year, and the studio will likely want to keep the film in theaters for as long as possible.

WILL JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION BE STREAMING ON HBO MAX?

No. Jurassic World Dominion is a Universal movie, not a Warner Bros. Also, HBO Max will no longer be streaming theatrical movies in 2022. (Last year, Warner Bros. opted to simultaneously release its theatrical slate on streaming, meaning HBO Max subscribers could watch movies like Matrix Resurrections at home. This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max.) It’s possible that Jurassic World Dominion will be on HBO and HBO Max someday, but it will not be any time soon.

IS JURASSIC WORLD 3 STREAMING ON NETFLIX?

Jurassic World Dominion will not be on Netflix any time soon. However, the movie may eventually go to Netflix, albeit not for another 4 years. A deal between Universal and Netflix gives the streaming service access to live-action films from Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, which includes Focus Features, about four years after they open in theaters. In the case of Jurassic World Dominion, that means June 2026. That’s a long time to wait, so if you want to see the movie ASAP, your best bet is to go to a movie theater.
