‘Queer as Folk’ Episode Guide: How Many Episodes in Peacock’s New Series?

Queer as Folk is back, and heading to New Orleans! The new Peacock series — and second US reboot — is a reimagining of Russell T. Davies’ groundbreaking British show that first aired in 1999. Following the show’s critical success, Showtime adapted a US version of the show set in Pittsburgh. This time around, show creator Stephen Dunn is offering a fresh take that mirrors the modern global audience, and queer communities.

The show is described as a vibrant reimagining that explores a diverse group of friends in New Orleans whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy. Dunn explains, “In the true spirit of the original, our show doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities of our community, but above all else, the series is about people who live vibrant, vital, unapologetically queer lives.”
