Bam Margera, ‘Jackass’ Star, Located in Florida After Going Missing from Rehab

Bam Margera has been found after the Jackass star fled the Florida rehab facility where he had been staying. Margera was located at a hotel in Delray Beach, Florida, on Wednesday (June 15), TMZ reports, two days after he was reported missing Monday.

Margera was found by police and a crisis intervention team and was brought back to the treatment center, where he returned voluntarily, per TMZ. The reality star had been staying at the rehab center under a court order, but reportedly left after he became frustrated with his treatment there; sources told TMZ Margera wanted special treatment as a public figure, but did not receive it and fled.

While Margera left the facility, sources told TMZ he did not relapse, although he was off his medication while out of the treatment center. He left the rehab facility shortly after completing one year of drug and alcohol treatment, a milestone he marked in March.

TMZ reported Wednesday that Margera had left the treatment center after telling staff there that he was unhappy with his experience. While police had been searching for him since Monday, their attempts at tracking him down were unsuccessful until they found him at the Delray Beach hotel.

While missing, Margera remained active on social media, where he posted a photo of himself fist-bumping his “new AA sponsor” and shared an image of himself, his wife and Machine Gun Kelly on his Instagram Story.

Margera has publicly struggled with addiction issues in the past, and was excluded from the latest Jackass film, Jackass Forever, after he broke his contract when he tested positive for Adderall; he appeared in just one stunt in the film.

Margera’s costar Johnny Knoxville explained to Variety earlier this year, “We wanted him all throughout the movie, but unfortunately that’s not the way it worked out.”
