‘Full House’ Star Jodi Sweetin “OK” After Getting Pushed by LAPD During Roe v. Wade Protest

Full House actress Jodie Sweetin says she is “OK” after being shoved to the ground by Los Angeles police officers on Saturday (June 25) during an abortion rights protest. Sweetin has objected to the Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, and its protection of abortion rights.

The actress told Fox News Digital, “I’m extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday to exercise their First Amendment rights and take immediate action to peacefully protest the giant injustices that have been delivered from our Supreme Court,” she continued, “Our activism will continue until our voices are heard, and action is taken. This will not deter us. We will continue fighting for our rights. We are not free until ALL of us are free.”

A photographer, Michael Ade, posted a video of the incident to his Instagram account, showing Sweetin wearing an all-black outfit and holding a megaphone as she was pushed to the ground by police officers. Once retrieving herself from the ground, she began shouting “No Justice, No Peace!” with the rest of the protestors.

Ade said, “It pained me to see @JodieSweetin thrown to the ground by members of the LAPD as she was trying to lead a group of peaceful protestors away from the freeway…SMH @LAPDHQ, what are y’all doing?”

“[Jodie] is the definition of a real one, and fortunately, she’s OK!” he continued. “But for others who choose to protest today, move with caution and keep your head on swivel. It’s going to be a very long summer.”
