Jojo Siwa, Jesse Tyler Ferguson Join ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’: See The New Trailer

Camp hasn’t even started and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has already given us a ton of reasons to get excited for it. Disney+ has dropped the latest trailer for Season 3 of its musical comedy, but that’s not all. There will be two new big-name guest stars joining this season: Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jojo Siwa. Grab your flashlight and s’more supplies because this one is going to be fun.

This first official trailer gives us a glimpse about who our leading lady will most likely be. Season 1 was Nini’s (Olivia Rodrigo) time to shine. Season 2 was all about Ashlyn (Julia Lester) learning to be a star. And Season 3, it seems like Gina (Sofia Wylie) is finally taking the spotlight. “It’s my first camp, my first boyfriend, my first time really going out for the lead in a show,” Gina says, excitedly.

The trailer also teases some of the big cameos that will happen this season. Rodrigo, who is a guest star instead of a series regular this season, appears in a few scenes. Then there’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson and YouTube sensation Jojo Siwa. Ferguson, who is best known for playing Mitchell in Modern Family as well as for his illustrious Broadway career, will star as Marvin, an old family friend of Nini’s. Meanwhile, Siwa will play Madison, an alumnus from Camp Shallow Lake. The multi-talented Siwa currently has over 66 million followers on social media and over 3.7 billion views on YouTube.

We knew that that Season 3 would revolve around the gang putting on a production of Frozen. But thanks to a press release from Disney+, we now know that this season will also feature music from the Camp Rock and the High School Musical franchises. Additionally, this new season will star Joshua Bassett (“Ricky”), Sofia Wylie (“Gina”), Matt Cornett (“E.J.”), Julia Lester (“Ashlyn”), Dara Reneé (“Kourtney”), and Frankie Rodriguez (“Carlos”) as well as new characters Saylor Bell Curda (“Maddox”) and Adrian Lyles (“Jet”).

The music picks back up Wednesday, July 27. New episodes will then premiere on Disney+ on Wednesdays.
