Ivana Trump, the first wife of Donald Trump, passed away today after going into cardiac arrest at her home in New York City’s Upper East side. She was 73 years-old.

The news was broken by her ex-husband on his conservative social media platform Truth Social today.

“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” Mr. Trump shared in his post. “She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”

Mrs. Trump’s high-profile marriage to Mr. Trump in 1977 lasted until 1992, and during which she not only gave birth to the three eldest Trump children Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, but also helped to build the foundation of her then-husband’s real estate empire by working on some early staple projects like the Trump Tower on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, the renovation of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City, and the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Beyond her marriage to Mr. Trump, the ambitious Czech-American made a name for herself as a business woman, media personality, author, fashion designer, and model. In addition to appearing on talk and reality shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show20/20The ViewLive with Kelly and RyanLate Night with Conan O’Brien, and Celebrity Big Brother: UK, she also had a notable cameo in 1996 comedy film The First Wives Club, which included the iconic line, “Don’t get mad, get everything.”
