Naked Christopher Meloni Strips Down for Peloton Ad

Christopher Meloni is making headlines for his partnership with Peloton for National Nude Day. The actor, best known for portraying NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler on NBC legal dramas Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime as well as inmate Chris Keller on HBO prison drama series Oz, is on screens big and small currently flaunting it all for ads in which he works out completely naked to the instructions of the Peloton App.

An press release provided to Decider described the ad as “highlighting all of the unexpected ways to workout anytime, anywhere, wearing whatever you would like.” And that it does, as Meloni completes at-home strength workouts, poolside yoga, outdoor meditation, and running in the park (past an unsuspecting yet seemingly unbothered couple and their supportive little dog), all with the guidance of the Peloton App, and all while being completely naked.

The ad closes with a voiceover that says, “In the Peloton community, users are represented by two separate yet equally motivated groups: Those who wear pants… and Christopher Meloni.”

Overall, viewers of the ad have been big fans of Meloni’s strip-down, with his Law & Order co-star Ice T giving major props on Twitter:

“OK.. My guy @Chris_Meloni is a WILD MF! I’m done… lol,” Ice T said in the tweet.

Produced produced by ArtClass and directed by Vincent Peone, the video was the culmination of Peloton’s partnership with MNTN’s Creative-As-A-SubscriptionTM (CaaS) service as well as Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort production company. Earlier this year, the company created a quickie ad playing off Mr. Big’s (Chris Noth) death on And Just Like That, which was also quickly pulled after the actor was accused of sexual harassment and assault.
