‘For All Mankind’ Renewed By Apple TV+ For Season 4

Apple TV+ has initiated the launch sequence for yet another season of For All Mankind. The drama series, created by Ronald D. Moore, Ben Nedivi and Matt Wolpert, announced the news during a panel discussion at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Starring Joel Kinnaman and Krys Marshall, the series has officially been renewed for a fourth season according to Deadline.

“I’m thrilled that we get to keep going forward in this amazing story,” said Moore. “Right from the beginning it was my hope that it would be a long, multi-year journey. “It’s gratifying to see what we’ve done and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do in the future.”

Wolpert added: “I couldn’t be more excited to continue evolving our show into the 2000s in Season 4.”

“The reaction to Season 3 so far has been incredible,” Nedivi said. “I’m thrilled Apple is giving us this opportunity to continue telling our story. Ron, Matt and I have always had a long-term plan for the show and the deeper we get into our alt history, the more the audience will start to see that vision come to life.”

Production on Season 4 is set to being next month with the series likely to premiere in early 2023 on the streaming platform.

The series first centered on the USSR’s first successful trip to the moon in 1969 then jumped to 1983 at the start of Season 2 and the 1990s for Season 3. Season 4 will again take place another decade later in the 21st century.

Season 3 of the Sony Pictures Television-produced streaming series will air its finale on July 29 on Apple TV+.

The show’s premise involves some very interesting plot lines including the USSR still being a thing in the mid-’90s, a female GOP POTUS (who used to be an astronaut) and a Black gay astronaut coming out to the world from Mars.

The Comic-Con panel featured all three series creators as well as EP Maril Davis, Kinnaman (Ed Baldwin) and Marshall (Danielle Poole). Additional cast members appearing on the panel included Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt, Edi Gathegi, Coral Peña, Jodi Balfour, Casey Johnson, Sonya Walger and Cynthy Wu.
