How to Watch Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin

There’s only one way to watch this new teen thriller: You’re going to need HBO Max. Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to get this particular streaming service. If you have any version of HBO, then congratulations. You have access to HBO Max. If you’re subscribed to HBO through your cable subscription, simply use your cable username and password to sign into HBO Max.

What if you don’t have an HBO account? The good news is it’s pretty easy to remedy that problem. HBO Max currently offers two subscription plans: a plan with ads for $9.99 a month or an ad-free plan for $14.99 a month. You also have the option to purchase annual subscriptions for both. The option with ads costs $99.99 a year, and the ad-free version costs $149.99.

The bad news is there’s no way to watch HBO Max for free. At the moment, the streamer doesn’t offer any free trials. That’s a massive bummer if you’re the type of person who likes to try before you buy. But because HBO Max is home to all of HBO’s content, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, a lot of the Criterion Collection, and some of the biggest blockbusters of the past few years, there’s sure to be something on there that you’ll like.

How Can I Watch the Original Pretty Little Liars?

Though PLL was an ABC Family show that eventually moved to Freeform, HBO Max is the current streaming home for this thriller. Blame the confusion on streaming contract negotiations. But on a positive note, that means HBO Max just became your one-stop shop for most things Pretty Little Liars, making it the only “A”-approved streamer on the market.

What Is Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin About?

Original Sin isn’t directly connected to the first Pretty Little Liars. Instead, think of it as more of a spiritual sequel. At first glance, Millwood High’s Tabby (Chandler Kinney), Noa (Maia Reficco), Imogen (Bailee Madison), Faran (Zaria), and Mouse (Malia Pyles) had nothing in common. Tabby is a horror movie buff; Noa is a track star with a juvie record; Imogen is pregnant and recovering from her mom’s tragic suicide; Faran is a deeply determined ballet dancer; and Mouse is an internet-obsessed nerd. But when they become the victims of several mysterious pranks they believe were orchestrated by high school bully Karen (Mallory Bechtel), they’ll band together to enact their revenge.

The only problem is that vengeance is never an easy thing in this world. The more they target Karen, the more they question whether she’s connected to “A” at all. Adding to the endless mysteries, there was also traumatic night 20 years ago all of their mothers refuse to talk about. Jumping between past and present, the slasher attempts to unravel the truth behind two traumatic nights.
