If you breeze through the first eight episodes of Uncoupled and find yourself wanting more, you’re not alone. Wondering if Netflix renewed Uncoupled for Season 2? And what a second season of Uncoupled might look like? We’ve got you covered.

Will There Be a Season 2 of Uncoupled on Netflix?

Netflix has yet to officially renew Uncoupled for Season 2, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. It’s common for streaming services to wait a bit before announcing more episodes of a show, and judging by Star’s track record — with Netflix, especially — we have a feeling the series will get the green light. Star brought the platform one of it’s most popular series, Emily in Paris, which was recently renewed for a third and fourth season after its second season hit Netflix. Additionally, Star’s popular series Younger ran for seven seasons. And Sex and the City, which ran for six seasons, turned into a cultural phenomenon that inspired several movies along with the recent HBO Max reboot, And Just Like That.
While nothing’s been announced yet, with Star attached and a charming cast led by Harris, it’s safe to assume Uncoupled will get asked back again by Netflix.

What Could Happen In Uncoupled Season 2?

Though Uncoupled has yet to be renewed for a second season, we still have a fairly clear idea of what the show’s next chapter would address. Before you read on, be warned that Season 1 spoilers lie ahead.

Uncoupled’s Season 1 finale celebrates the Jonathans’ wedding, which turns out to be a day to remember for everyone. Stanley (Brooks Ashmanskas) tells Michael and Billy (Emerson Brooks) he has Stage 1 breast cancer. Billy looks inward and decides to work towards being less of a shallow narcissist. Suzanne (Tisha Campbell) goes to meet her son’s estranged father. And Michael runs into Colin at the wedding. The exes share more than a few moments, and Michael finally decides to stop being mad at Colin. He asks if he can buy out Colin’s half of their apartment, and Colin says yes. The two share a dance, then Michael returns home to find Colin waiting in his apartment. (Creepy!) Before the end credits roll, Colin tells Michael the words he’s been waiting to hear all season: “I think I made a mistake.” Gasp!
If Uncoupled returns for a Season 2, the series will likely pick up right where Season 1 left off and set out to tie up the aforementioned loose ends. There’s a good chance we’ll see Stanley’s breast cancer journey, Billy strive to achieve an internal glow-up, Suzanne and her son reunite with his father, and Michael and Colin give their relationship another try — unless Colin’s “mistake” was about something other than the breakup that is…
