Actress Edie McClurg, who starred as school secretary Grace in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, has been granted a protective order against a California man who allegedly attempted to marry her out-of-state despite her suffering from dementia.

McClurg’s conservator, Angelique Cabral, made the claim in the Superior Court of California in L.A. County, citing that unemployed Michael L. Ramos, who has been living in the veteran actress’ L.A. home, tried to “finagle” his way into her life and attempted to move her out of California to marry her, per documents obtained by TMZ

“Mr. Ramos claims to be the conservatee’s ‘longtime friend’ and was able to ingratiate himself into the conservatee’s life while she was battling dementia,” Cabral said in the documents, per People.

The documents also claim that Ramos allegedly sexually assaulted McClurg’s caregiver, which has been filed as a police report with LAPD. Further, the caregiver fears that Ramos has been sexually assaulting McClurg, but given the condition of her mental state, she may not even realize.

While the judge in the conservatorship case originally allowed Ramos to live in the actress’ home to provide companionship, the lawyer is now seeking that he be removed.

As a result of the protection, the judge ordered that Ramos stand down on his marriage plans.

According to TMZ, the conservatorship was originally filed by McClurg’s family in 2019, who claimed she had been living with a man who was verbally abusive and taking advantage of her. They even alleged he had tried to compel her to sign papers to change her estate planning.

McClurg has tons of credits both on the big screen and on television. She starred in Planes, Trains and Automobiles as well as CarrieShe has also had a slew of voiceover gigs, including The Little Mermaid, Wreck-It Ralphand A Bug’s Life.
