‘Yellowstone’s Season 5 Teaser Is 15 Seconds Of Pure Tension

Paramount Network couldn’t let the summer end without dropping a first look at the upcoming season of their mega-hit show, Yellowstone. While we have to wait until Sunday, November 13, for the two-hour (!) Season 5 premiere, fans can get a taste of what’s to come with by taking in this 15 second long teaser that focuses solely on the Duttons, America’s true first family.

The teaser starts with John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) gravelly voiceover, grimly stating, “We’ll show the world who we are.” As he speaks, we see Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) look cautiously over her shoulder in the Dutton’s family home. Quickly afterwards, there’s a cut to Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), now unwillingly back in the Dutton fold and in Beth’s grasps, looking unnerved as he stands in the door of his Attorney General office.

As Dutton’s voice adds, “And what we do,” there’s a brief shot of Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) slowly burying his head in hands—showing off his wedding ring—on his front stoop. This sad scene is broken by a quick shot of Beth’s new husband/John’s righthand man Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) cocking his rifle next to Lloyd Pierce (Forrie J. Smith) on horseback.

Following a dramatic title card that reads “All Will Be Revealed,” fans will be further titillated by a clip showing John dressed to impressed walking down a hallway flanked by Beth and outgoing Montana Governor Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz), no doubt on his way to a gubernatorial debate.

The Season 5 premiere is nearly 3 months away, but with this tantalizing first teaser, the anticipation starts now! If you need refresher on all things Yellowstone, be sure to tune into Paramount Network’s Yellowstone marathon over Labor Day weekend. It runs from Friday, September 2 through Monday, September 5, starting at 11:00 AM ET/PT each day. Yee-haw!
