‘Black Mirror’ Adds Rob Delaney To Season 6 Cast

Rob Delaney is the latest actor to be cast for Season 6 of Charlie Brooker’s sci-fi anthology series, Black Mirror.

The Netflix series, which tells a different story about a technological or social issue each episode, has become one of the platform’s most successful titles. The new season has recently began production.

Delaney, an Emmy-nominated comedian, is probably best known for starring opposite Sharon Horgan in Amazon and Channel 4’s Catastrophe. He has also written an emotional memoir about the death of his son entitled A Heart that Works.

While Black Mirror has recruited different actors for each episode and season, some of the rotating cast include Daniel Kaluuya, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wyatt Russell, Alex Lawter, and Mackenzie Davis.

Delaney is just one of many newcomers for the show’s forthcoming sixth season. Other actors that have been announced include Zazie Beetz, Paapa Esssiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramierez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton, and Anjana Vasan. Salma Hayek and Annie Murphy will also reportedly appear as well, in addition to Myha’la Herrold and Rory Culkin.

Booker will produce the latest season of Black Mirror under his new Netflix-backed Broke & Bones outfit, which he runs with Black Mirror exec. Annabel Jones.

Season 6 of the show has been in the works for some time now. Brooker took time off at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic doing other things, such as producing two Netflix mockumentaries, Death to 2020 and its sequel, Death to 2021. At the time he did not think that people would be able to stomach stories about society crumbling.
