Get ‘Spirited’ With Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds With New Trailer For The Apple TV+ Musical Comedy

We may still be in the midst of spooky season, but that doesn’t mean it’s ever too early to start getting in the holiday spirit, at least, according to Apple TV+, who just dropped the first trailer for their new holiday musical comedy, Spirited, starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds.

In this modern twist on A Christmas Carolthe Ghost of Christmas Present (Ferrell) picks one dark soul “to be reformed by a visit from three spirits,” per the description. However, this Christmas Eve, things are a little different when Clint Briggs (Reynolds), the “Scrooge” chosen this season, turns the tables on Present, making him reexamine his own past, present, and future.

The trailer opens with the two performing a tap dance routine before Ferrell’s character coerces Reynolds’ character into following him behind a mysterious door. From there, the rest of the teaser is an explosion of action, dancing, and each of the actors’ respective humor.

Alongside Ferrell and Reynolds, the movie also stars Octavia Spencer, Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, and Jen Tullock and is directed by Sean Anders.

This isn’t the first Christmas movie for the duo. Ferrell most famously starred as Buddy the Elf in Elf before going on to make Daddy’s Home 2which was set around the holidays. As for Reynolds, he starred opposite Amy Smart in Just FriendsEssentially, we have high expectations for a musical comedy that brings both of these comedic staples together.

Spirited releases in theaters on Nov. 11 and will drop on Apple TV+ a week later on Nov. 18.
