Love ‘Halloweentown’? You Need Kimberly J. Brown’s TikTok In Your Life

If marathoning Halloweentown films remains one of your favorite fall traditions (as it should), then Kimberly J. Brown is a social media must-follow.

Brown played beloved teen witch Marnie Piper in the magical 1998 Disney Channel Original Movie Halloweentown, 2001’s Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge, and 2004’s Halloweentown High, but not all fans know she’s now engaged to her former co-star Daniel Kountz, who played Marnie’s nemesis Kal in the Halloweentown sequel.

The on-screen enemies to real-life lovers share delightful social content year-round, faithfully hopping on trends like the Tortilla Challenge and answering fan questions about their everything from their careers to their relationship. But when fall hits, they channel their inner Halloweentown and celebrate Spooky Season with photos and videos that will make you nostalgic for Disney Channel’s finest Halloween films. Though Kountz’s content is more real-estate focused, he makes regular appearances on Brown’s TikTok and Instagram accounts. And she loves Halloween almost as much as Marnie does.

From trying on Marnie’s signature outfit to posting videos Judith Hoag, who played her mom Gwen on Halloweentown, Brown’s commitment to her brand and her unwavering appreciation for the film series that changed her life is so genuine you can’t help but be charmed. She’s shared the alternate ending to the original Halloweentown, which involved her character having to walk deep into a forest that made her rapidly age to save the day. She’s shared the never-before-seen mold of her face used to create the mask for that cut scene. And in one of her most popular TikTok videos, Brown watched a scene from Halloweentown II in which her character Marnie tells Kal her future doesn’t include him. “Well this is awkward,” Brown said, flipping her camera around to reveal Kountz behind her. Iconic behavior.

In several TikToks, Brown tells fans how she and Kountz fell in love. It didn’t happen on the Halloweentown sequel set like you might assume. The former co-stars met while filming in 2001, lost touch for over a decade, reconnected on social media in 2016, started dating, then got engaged in June 2022.

To watch this couple in their element making Halloweentown content in 2022 is to know joy, but they don’t limit themselves to posts about the Disney Channel original movie. Between dressing their dog up in multiple costumes to touring the Sanderson Sisters’ cottage with Airbnb, Brown reaches all corners of HalloweenTok.

If your heart is craving even more throwbacks, Brown shares Halloweentown photos with the late Debbie Reynolds as Grandma Aggie and more on Instagram. For those truly embracing the season, she has her own Halloweentown-themed Etsy store, too. We’re in control of our own future, and it does include following our favorite Halloweentown couple on social media.
