Everything’s messier in Paradise, including the chyrons, so Wednesday night’s episode introduced 26-year-old Todd as “Thor’s Body Double.” Then, just when you thought producers were joking, a second chyron flashed on the screen, reading, “No Really, He Is.” But is he? Who is Adam Todd on Bachelor in Paradise?

As noted, when Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise was filmed, Todd was 26. But there’s so much more to know about the stud from down under. For those who don’t keep up with The Bachelorette Australia, Todd was on Season 6, which aired in 2020 and featured two leads, sisters Elly and Becky Miles. (Yes, SISTERS?!) Though Todd was eliminated in Episode 9, the geologist who loves surfing captured viewers’ hearts by doing things like giving Elly a rock to make his first impression, cradling a fake baby, or admitting he has a solar system poster above his bed. Fans loved him so much he was even rumored to be the next Bachelor lead, but now he’s on Paradise, and U.S. fans likely won’t be complaining.

When he’s not studying rocks or starring on a Bachelor show, you can find Todd posting on Instagram, where he currently has 23,000 followers, and even acting. Yes, that’s right. Todd did actually play a part in the 2022 film Thor: Love and Thunder. But was he Thor’s body double like Paradise claims? Let’s review.

Is Adam Todd Really Thor’s Body Double?

To recap, Paradise listed Todd’s occupation as “Thor’s Body Double, No really he is.” We know he’s a geologist, and that the chyron creators love to have fun, but there’s no denying the jacked Aussie with long luscious locks does resemble Australian actor Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. So is this chyron…true? It looks like yes and no.

For those who immediately brushed off the chyron, not so fast. Turns out Todd WAS in the 2022 film Thor: Love and Thunder, but per his Instagram bio and IMDb page he portrayed “Zeus Pretty Boy.” Per MCU’s fandom page, Zeus’ Pretty Boys “are a pair of Olympian men who serve Zeus on Omnipotence City.” Todd acted alongside actor Josh Heuston in the film and has shared several shots of him on set via Instagram.

While it’s unclear if Todd was also Chris Hemsworth’s body double or stand-in at some point during Love and Thunder (or has served as an official Thor body double in some other capacity), we know that Hemsworth’s longtime body/stunt double is Bobby Holland Hanton.
The fact that Todd was called “Thor” on The Bachelorette Australia, he appeared in Love and Thunder, and he genuinely resembles an Asgardian god is likely the reason for the chyron. But honestly? That’s still huge.
