Nicky Hilton Says ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Is “Mean-Spirited” and “Negative” Amid Tequila Drama

Nicky Hilton Rothschild weighed in on the tequila drama that has plagued Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – and shocker, she’s siding with her mom!

Nicky’s mom, Kathy Hilton, has had an ongoing and well-documented feud with her co-stars Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards (Kathy’s sister), after they threw shade at her on the reality show for promoting her tequila brand, Casa Del Sol.

In the Sept. 14 episode, Rinna chose to order Kendall Jenner’s 818 tequila at a bar rather than Hilton’s brand, after the Hilton matriarch informed the group that the bar was carrying Casa Del Sol. Hilton was furious and called Rinna’s behavior “fucking disgusting”, which seemed the be the general consensus among fans.

Now, Hilton’s 39-year-old daughter has offered her thoughts on the drama. She told E! News, “I used to love the light-heartedness and escapism of the program, but I feel like, recently, it’s become a bit mean-spirited and negative.”

She continued, “When I watch one of those shows, I want to laugh. I don’t want to be sad. So, hopefully, they could be a little kinder.” Unfortunately, “kinder” doesn’t seem to be in the show’s vocabulary as tensions are higher than ever in the three-part reunion, which began airing October 12.

And now, the show has lost its fan-favorite queen. Over the weekend at BravoCon, Kathy reportedly said that she is uninterested in returning to the series for Season 13. She shared, “If it’s the same exact cast? Absolutely not. But I’m just a ‘friend,’ so it doesn’t matter.”

Part two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion airs Oct. 19, 2022 on Bravo, followed by part three on October 26, 2022.
