The drama was at an all-time high during today’s episode of The View. During an interview with Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, host Whoopi Goldberg lashed out at audience members who interrupted the segment by heckling not Cruz, but the ladies on the panel.
While the senator was speaking about inflation, voices could be heard from the audience chanting what sounded like “Cover climate now!” After smiling at the gutsy viewers, the politician simply turned back toward the co-hosts and continued his response to the question. When the hecklers didn’t stop and continued to shout things at the ladies that were inaudible, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Goldberg took it upon themselves to put a stop to the fiasco.

“We do cover climate here, guys!” Griffin shouted back before Goldberg snapped, “Excuse me! Ladies, excuse us. Let us do our job. Let us do our job. We hear what you have to say but you gotta go.”
Griffin then turned to Cruz and joked, “They weren’t even protesting you.” Meanwhile, Sunny Hostin clarified, “They’re accusing us of not covering climate change and we do that almost every day.”
Cruz quipped, “Good thing you don’t have a Van Gogh on the wall,” referring to the climate activists who threw tomato soup at one of the artist’s paintings at a museum in London.
However, that wasn’t the end of it. Just before heading to the commercial break, another unhappy audience member yelled something else, although this time, ABC muted the sound. Though the comment was censored, it was reported that the person shouted “F*ck you” at Cruz, which would explain why Hostin’s jaw dropped while he simply giggled and sipped uncomfortably from his cup.
When the show returned from the commercial break, Ana Navarro told the senator, “I’ve been very vocal and very critical of you, but I am sorry that this has happened in our house.”
