Why Pete Davidson Sent Kim Flowers from “Aladdin” on ‘The Kardashians’

Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian may have split, but the latest episode of The Kardashians reminds us they’ll always have Saturday Night Live.

We’ve seen snippets of Davidson and Kardashian’s relationship throughout Seasons 1 and 2 of the Hulu series, and Season 2, Episode 6, “You Have No Idea How Iconic This Is!”, shows another one of Davidson’s sweet romantic gestures. (Remember the time he sent Dibs to Kardashian’s private jet? This might be even cuter.)

The episode shows the fam going on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote their new reality series, but before Kim went on stage she asked the cameras to get a video of her “cute flowers.” The camera found a giant bouquet of roses on the table in her dressing room, alongside a card that read, “Congrats on your new show and season! I’m so incredibly happy for you and proud of you!! Love, Aladdin.”

Who’s Aladdin? Well, it’s Kardashian’s now ex Pete Davidson of course!

By now, everyone likely gets the “Aladdin” reference, but for those who are confused, it’s a callback to Davidson and Kardashian’s “Jasmine and Aladdin” sketch from the Saturday Night Live episode she hosted in October 2021. The two met on SNL, and as the Kardashians star told Kimmel, they shared their first ever kiss during the sketch. You can relive the glory below:

Kardashian also told Kimmel that for Valentine’s Day, Davidson got her an Aladdin-inspired carpet, Aladdin and Jasmine’s outfits, and a lamp as another sentimental ode to the start of their relationship.

Damn, Pete Davidson’s got game.

After nine months of dating, the world learned that Kardashian and Davidson called it quits because they reportedly found it “really difficult to maintain” a long-distance relationship. But whether they’re together or apart, they’ll always be Saturday Night Live‘s Aladdin and Jasmine.

The Kardashians is now available on Hulu. New Season 2 episodes stream on Thursdays.
