Hallmark Christmas Movies Coming to Peacock In New Streaming Deal

Peacock is decking the halls this season with a programming hub dedicated to the cheeriest channel of all, Hallmark. The holiday juggernaut is partnering with Peacock for a new SVOD deal announced today which will bring Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama content to subscribers.

The hub, which launches Wednesday (Nov. 2), will introduce a whole slew of seasonal titles to Peacock in what the streamer is calling a “first-of-its-kind” deal. Not only will subscribers get to watch on-demand, they’ll also be able to stream Hallmark live.

Live simulcasts of the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama will be available through the hub, which will offer “current season programming,” plus a “robust library of movies within the Hallmark library, including signature holiday favorites,” according to a press release sent out today.

As for on-demand content, the Peacock hub will include live and next-day access to When Calls the Heartas well as Ride and The Way Home, both premiering next year.

For now, Peacock subscribers can look forward to streaming Hallmark holiday offerings like A Majestic Christmas and We Wish You a Married Christmasplus A Kismet Christmas and Jolly Good Christmas.

Peacock’s Hallmark deal marks a first for the streamer, which offers mostly titles from NBC (its parent company) and originals like A Friend of the Family and Angelyne. The streamer recently added titles from Bravo, including the Real Housewives franchise, and signed a deal to bring WWE content to subscribers.

Kelly Campbell, President of Peacock, and Direct-to-Consumer, NBCUniversal, called the Hallmark hub a “groundbreaking partnership” in a press release announcing the news today.

“As we continue to make Peacock a premium streaming destination, Hallmark is exactly the type of brand we want to align with,” Campbell said. “Through this groundbreaking partnership, we’re giving Hallmark viewers a unique viewing experience while continuing to grow our audience, boosting engagement across both brands.”
