New on Prime Video November 4: My Policeman

In news that might surprise many, Harry Styles is starring in more than just Don’t Worry Darling this year. His newest film, My Policeman, is out in theaters, as well as arriving to Prime Video this week. Based on the 2012 novel of the same name, Styles stars as Tom Burgess, a policeman in Brighton, England, in the 1950s. Tom is gay, but marries a woman because homosexuality is outlawed in England at that time, so he has to hide his true self from his wife, Marion (Corrin). Once Marion finds out that Tom has a secret lover named Patrick (David Dawson), Tom faces grave consequences, not just in his marriage, but with the law.

New on Netflix November 4: Enola Holmes 2

Millie Bobby Brown has proven herself to be Netflix’s MVP time and time again, and this week, she’s back with Enola Holmes 2, the second film based on the young adult book series about Sherlock’s younger sister. Henry Cavill played Sherlock in the first film and he returns for the sequel along with Helena Bonham Carter who plays Eudoria, the matriarch of the Holmes family. (Sam Claflin played Enola’s other brother, Mycroft, in the first film, but he won’t be back this time around.) In the new film, Millie breaks the fourth wall yet again as Enola, as the teen opens her own detective agency and is hired to search for a young girl who has gone missing. David Thewlis and Sharon Duncan-Brewster will also co-star in the film which premieres this Friday, November 4.

New on Apple TV+ November 4: Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me

Selena Gomez has worked steadily since childhood, and all of that time in the limelight, coupled with a lupus diagnosis a few years ago, ended up taking a massive toll, both physically and mentally, on her. The new Apple TV+ documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me was directed by filmmaker Alek Keshishian, the man who previously gave us Madonna: Truth or Dare, and features Gomez as she opens up about her struggles with mental health and her desire to find happiness for herself outside of show business.
